Kleinanzeigen is Germany’s leading classifieds marketplace inside the Adevinta family. Shipping Compose UI, accessibility, and vertical features means Europe-wide collaboration across brands and tribes.

What I did
Staff Android Engineer at eBay Kleinanzeigen GmbH / Adevinta (Mar 2020 – Nov 2024). Led Spark Design System Android development, founded an Accessibility Guild, and delivered across Verticals Markets — C2B, Motors & Advertising, Real Estate, and Pro Subscription — while mentoring and joining hackathons.

Impact
Accelerated Spark Android components used across Europe; Pro subscriptions hit yearly targets early and were recognized among Adevinta’s best projects worldwide; stronger accessibility and cross-tribe delivery on Germany’s go-to classifieds app.
Highlights
- Led Compose UI Spark Design System Android development for leboncoin.fr and European platforms
- Accelerated Spark components with docs, UI testing, and showcase/configurators for designers and QA
- Presented live demos in Adevinta demo tribe meetings; navigated cross-cultural Europe-wide collaboration
- Created and led an Accessibility Guild with design partners to improve Android app accessibility
- Verticals — C2B: backend support for outsourced teams and API feedback aligned to Kleinanzeigen patterns
- Verticals — led mobile design decisions when designer headcount was short; ran A/B tests for Android features
- Motors & Advertising: native-like ads in feed with mobile.de; resolved production incidents to protect revenue
- Real Estate: VR tours during COVID-19; maps and video features for listings
- Pro Subscription: packages that boosted profits, hit subscriber targets early, and were selected among Adevinta’s best worldwide
